Su Twitter arrivano i tweet vocali – La nuova funzione, per ora disponibile solo per i dispositivi iOS e per un numero limitato di persone, permette di aggiungere messaggi vocali ai tweet.

L’annuncio è avvenuto sulle pagine del blog ufficiale di Twitter. I tweet vocali non sono ancora disponibili per tutti, ma lo saranno subito dopo il termine della fase di test.

«A volte 280 caratteri non sono sufficienti, e alcune sfumature della conversazione si perdono. Per questo motivo. A partire da oggi stiamo testando una nuova funzione che aggiungerà un tocco più umano al modo in cui utilizziamo Twitter: la vostra voce».

Twitter lancia i Tweet vocali

In questi anni siamo stati abituati a comunicare tramite foto, video, GIF. Ma spesso 280 caratteri non bastano: ecco perché Twitter ha deciso di aggiungere un tocco più umano… la voce.

Presto tutti gli utenti del social network potranno cinguettare anche con la loro voce: ad ogni tweet si potrà aggiungere un messaggio vocale lungo al massimo 140 secondi.

Come funzionano i tweet vocali

Per aggiungere un messaggio audio al tuo tweet, non dovrai far altro che selezionare l’icona apposita, tenerla premuta finché parli e poi pubblicare il tweet. Non potrai rispondere ad altri tweet con un vocale e non potrai aggiungere un tweet audio ai retweet.

La durata massima di ogni singolo audio è di 140 secondi, se si dovesse sforare inizierà una seconda registrazione e si creerà un thread.

«Twitter is where you go to talk about what’s happening. Over the years, photos, videos, gifs, and extra characters have allowed you to add your own flair and personality to your conversations. But sometimes 280 characters aren’t enough and some conversational nuances are lost in translation. So starting today, we’re testing a new feature that will add a more human touch to the way we use Twitter – your very own voice.

Tweeting with your voice is not too different from Tweeting with text. To start, open the Tweet composer and tap the new icon with wavelengths. You’ll see your profile photo with the record button at the bottom – tap this to record your voice.

Each voice Tweet captures up to 140 seconds of audio. Have more to say? Keep talking. Once you reach the time limit for a Tweet, a new voice Tweet starts automatically to create a thread. Once you’re done, tap the Done button to end your recording and go back to the composer screen to Tweet.

People will see your voice Tweet appear on their timeline alongside other Tweets. To listen, tap the image. On iOS only, playback will start in a new window docked at the bottom of your timeline and you can listen as you scroll. You can also keep listening while doing other things on your phone or on the go.

Creating voice Tweets will be available to a limited group of people on Twitter for iOS to start but in the coming weeks everyone on iOS should be able to Tweet with their voice. Everyone will be able to see (hear) them and reply. Learn more in our help center.
