Ed Sheeran e One Direction sono in nomination ai People’s Choice Awards 2016, che saranno consegnati il 6 Gennaio 2016 nella consueta serata piena di star e performance che si terrà al Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles, in California.

La quarantaduesima edizione dei PCA sarà condotta dall’attrice Jane Lynch, che il 3 Novembre ha reso note tutte le categorie e le star in nomination presso il Paley Center for Media di Los Angeles.
Il numero più alto di nomination è stato raccolto da Taylor Swift, che ne ha collezionate quattro, mentre i One Direction gareggiano nella categoria Favorite Group in contrapposizione a Fall Out Boy, Fifth Harmony, Imagine Dragons e Maroon 5.
Dal canto suo, Ed Sheeran è in gara per due categorie, Favorite Male Artist e Favorite Pop Artist, dove la seconda lo vede contro la stessa amica e collega Taylor Swift.
