Le nomination per gli Oscar, i più importanti premi del Cinema, sono state annunciate il 22 gennaio, alle 14.20 (ora italiana) dal Samuel Goldwyn Theater di Los Angeles. A leggere le candidature delle 24 categorie, gli attori Kumail Nanjiani e Tracee Ellis Ross.

A quota 10 nomination troviamo “La Favorita” di Yorgos Lanthimos e “Roma” di Alfonso Cuarón. Seguono con 8 candidature “Vice – L’uomo nell’ombra” e “A Star Is Born” con protagonisti Lady Gaga e Bradley Cooper.
7 nomination per “Black Panther” di Ryan Coogler, 6 per “BlacKkKlansman” di Spike Lee e 5 per “Bohemian Rhapsody” di Bryan Singer e “Green Book” di Peter Farrelly.
