Ed Sheeran ha annunciato l’uscita di “5” tramite una foto pubblicata sul suo profilo Instagram Lunedì 4 Maggio. Per diverse ore il mondo si è chiesto cosa fosse “5”, se si trattasse di un nuovo album, oppure forse un nuovo progetto del cantante britannico. E’ stato lo stesso Ed a rivelare maggiori informazioni alcune ore dopo l’annuncio a sorpresa.

La descrizione comparsa su Instagram riportava semplicemente “Tra una settimana “5” esce in tutto il mondo, il 12 Maggio. Scusate per il disguido”.
Infatti, chi segue Ed con grande attenzione, aveva potuto notare che in precedenza l’annuncio riportava la data del 5 Maggio.
Alcune ore dopo, Ed ha spiegato che “5” è una raccolta di cinque differenti EP pubblicati dall’artista prima di “+”. Il bundle sarà disponibile dal 12 Maggio, così come ogni singolo EP potrà essere acquistato individualmente a partire dallo stesso giorno.
