Venerdì 19 Maggio 2017 Liam Payne ha pubblicato “Strip That Down”, il suo primo singolo da solista. In occasione della sua promozione Liam è stato ospite nel programma statunitense “The Late Late Show with James Corden” Mercoledì 6 Settembre.

Nel corso della puntata Liam ha partecipato ad una divertentissima sfida musicale lanciata da James Corden, Boy Bands vs Solo Artists Riff-Off, durante la quale ha cantato anche “Best Song Ever”, un movimentato singolo dei One Direction risalente al 2013 , e “Shape Of You”, l’ultimo capolavoro del collega ed amico Ed Sheeran.
